Art Shows

There are many ways of worship and we are blessed to be part of a very expressive community. Four times per year, professional and amateur artists come together to create and showcase their work on various Jewish subjects. Chochmat's former spiritual leaders, founding Rabbi Avram Davis and Rabbi Sara Shendelman, have communities of their own. Chochmat sends them all good wishes and blessings.

Yeshiva Simchat-Lev

Founded in 2007, under the auspices of Rabbi Avram Davis, this progressive Yeshiva combines deep learning and tradition with empowering, progressive values, such as equalities for all genders, sexualities and ethnic backgrounds, and a strong environmental ethos. Its central holding is that the Torah is a source of joy and deep primordial wisdom and a place of spiritual learning for all people. JACTS: Jewish Arts Culture and Torah School

We welcome and encourage children and families in any configuration. JACTS is a beautiful and loving supplemental school for children ages four years through bar/bat mitzvah. Led by Rabbi Sara Shendelman, former service leader at Chochmat, the school seeks to empower children in expressing their inner Divine and to enable parents to see their children as central to their spiritual path.
