Main Hall
The Main Hall, with seating capacity for 250, features carpeted floors; high
ceilings; an elevated bimah; an excellent P.A. system; tapestries, rugs,
chandeliers, and beautiful natural lighting in the mornings and afternoons. It
is an ideal space for weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, seminars, and other large-scale
events.
 Social Hall
The Social Hall with a standing capacity of 125 people adjoins the Main Hall
from a short hallway and staircase or can be accessed through the garden. The
Social Hall is perfect for receptions, with a vibrant new color scheme, easy
access to our kitchen (vegetarian kosher, with kosher fish items permitted)
featuring a large double sink, good counter space, a large gas stove with two ovens, and
refrigerator access available by request. With double-doors opening onto our
breathtaking private garden, the garden and social hall easily combine as the
perfect setting for an afternoon luncheon, reception, workshop or post-event
mixer.
Garden
The Garden features a pergola suitable for use as a chupa, altar, or gazebo; a
decorative fountain; a potpourri of flowers and native plants; seating on
built-in and moveable stained wooden benches; and an open lawn to enjoy the
beautiful northern California weather.
Garden Room
Adjacent to the garden, our newly redecorated Garden Room functions wonderfully
for small meetings of up to 25, workshops, as a private meeting space, or as a
staging area for a reception in the garden and Social Hall.
Accessibility
All of the spaces
available for rent are wheelchair-accessible. (Although in the plans, the
restrooms are currently not wheelchair accessible). Chochmat HaLev is within
walking distance from public transportation, including Ashby BART.
